Safety in numbers: This NTSB-supplied chart compares the total and fatal accident rates for business flying over the 10 years beginning 2012 through 2021, the latest for which final data is available. According to the NTSB, a "business" flight purpose includes: "All personal flying without a paid, professional crew for reasons associated with furthering a business, including transportation to and from business meetings or work. This does not include corporate/executive operations, air taxi, or commuter
operations."
