The fuel selector shaft’s top u-joint (p/n 1216608200) was twisted and a tab broke as the pilot was selecting different tank going through the off position, due to stiff fuel selector valve caused by ice buildup on valve.

Cracked Landing Gear Shafts
Installed new shafts (p/n 0894000-12) on both main landing gear at 3520.9 and 100 hours later at 3620.9. Both shafts were cracked on right side. The new-style shafts have a larger diameter roll pin and this hole is from where the cracks are starting. The new-style shafts are made weaker by having a bigger hole in them.

Failed Turbocharger Driveshaft
Aircraft was climbing through FL190 when the engine lost power. An emergency descent and unscheduled landing were performed. At lower altitudes, some power was restored. On landing, inspection revealed the shaft between the turbocharger compressor and exhaust wheels had broken in two.

Turbocharger Wastegate Shaft
During a power-on stall, the pilots noticed a partial power loss. When power was added, the left engine went to 45 percent while the right engine was at 100 percent. Cycling the left engine resulted in only 35 percent power out it. The airpl;ane was landed safely. Inspection revealed the waste gate actuator shaft had sheared.

Loose Magneto Gear Shaft
Crew encountered no rpm drop during left engine/left magneto check. When the magneto was removed, the plastic gear shaft was found loose, allowing vibration in the fore and aft axis. Magneto replaced.

Broken Magneto Cam Follower
The aircraft was written up for a power loss. Both magnetos were pulled. Inspection revealed the left magneto’s cam follower shaft had broken. Both mags had oil getting past the oil seal and, as a result, the points were pitted. Magnetos were replaced.

Sheared Fuel Pump Drive
Just before descent, the left engine lost torque and rpm along with oil pressure. After verifying the failure, the left engine was then feathered and secured. Landed at nearest suitable airport. Left engine fuel pump drive shaft sheared. Fuel pump on the left engine was replaced.Â
