The aircraft was destroyed and the Commercial pilot fatally injured at approximately 1245 Mountain time when it departed the runway and collided with a hangar during the landing roll. Visual conditions prevailed. Witnesses said the airplane touched down on Runway 21 and, after rolling approximately 2500 feet, veered to the right, departed the runway, crossed the median and taxiway, rolled onto the parking ramp and collided with a hangar. There was no fire. The rear engine continued to run at full power for a few minutes, then quit and its propeller moved to the feathered position. No flight control or system anomalies have been found. An autopsy was inconclusive.
