At 0735 Pacific time the airplane experienced a loss of engine power during cruise, made a forced landing, and came to rest inverted in a salt marsh. The airplane sustained substantial damage. The pilot was not injured; a passenger sustained minor injuries. Visual conditions prevailed. According to the pilot, about 10 minutes after takeoff, the pilot noted a loss of engine power with a rough-running engine. The pilot made a forced landing in the salt marsh area. On the landing rollout, the landing gear dug into the ground, and the airplane came to rest inverted.
