At about 1430 Central time, the airplane sustained minor damage on contact with the runway when the landing gear was retracted during the initial landing roll. The pilot added power during the landing roll, climbed to lower the landing gear, and subsequently landed with it extended. The private pilot was not injured. The airplane was registered to and operated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Visual conditions prevailed.
