The airplane impacted a building and several parked, unoccupied vehicles at 1445 Central time, before impacting terrain. The private pilot was seriously injured and the passenger was fatally injured. The airplane was destroyed. Visual conditions prevailed. Shortly after takeoff, the pilot reported to ATC he needed to return because the airplane was vibrating and losing power. Witnesses reported that the airplane appeared to be having difficulty gaining altitude after takeoff but heard a normal-sounding engine.
