The airplane was substantially damaged during a forced landing at 2005 Central time following a loss of engine power after takeoff. Both commercial pilots were seriously injured. Visual conditions prevailed. The engine stopped producing power on initial climb after takeoff. The second pilot took control of the airplane while the first switched the fuel selector, though he could not recall which tank it was on. The second pilot attempted to return to ADS and land, but the airplane landed short of the runway on airport property.
