Oil Seal Failure
During descent into the destination, the pilot could see oil streaking back from top cowl louvers and oil pressure began dropping. Pilot shut down engine and feathered prop. Landed without issue. Maintenance found oil aft of the accessory gearbox, appearing to be from around the turbo area. Further investigation revealed oil bypassing the turbocharger seals.

Unknown Failure
Right engine experienced steady loss of MAP in cruise with corresponding decrease in oil pressure. Engine was shut down and secured, pilot diverted. Inspection revealed right engine turbocharger at fault. Replaced turbocharger, inspected engine and components for additional defects, and verified engine produces rated MAP and does not leak oil.

Cracked Bearing Flange
During phase inspection, the turbocharger bearing flange was found cracked in two places. Exhaust gas was jetting over the top of the turbocharger. Other, similar failures have been found in our fleet as well.

Turbocharger Oil Leak
Low oil pressure in right engine was observed, followed by oil odor in cabin. Engine was shut down and an uneventful emergency landing performed. Inspection revealed the right engine’s turbocharger failed, causing the oil loss.

Seized Turbocharger
Crew notified maintenance that right engine was burning oil and not developing full power. Inspection revealed turbocharger had seized. Turbocharger replaced, and ground run revealed no further defects. Turbocharger was sent out for overhaul.

Turbocharger failed due to main bearing failure. Turbocharger froze and blocked air to the induction system. Pilot did not execute checklist procedures to select alternate air source, resulting in off-airport landing.

Turbine Seized
Pilot reported loss of power, followed by pressurization loss during climb. Engine ran well, but power was limited to 19 in. Hg MAP instead of 35 in. prior to the event. Discovered turbine on right turbocharger had seized. Unable to determine cause of failure.
