The pilot reported steering difficulty while taxing to parking after landing. He added power and pulled back on the control yoke, noting aircraft movement became smooth. As he initiated a right turn into the parking area, the airplane suddenly moved to the left and struck a hangar, incurring substantial damage. Following the collision, he shut down the engine, exited the airplane and noticed the nosewheel tire was flat.
